We traveled to New Zealand from Jan 9th-Jan26th 2015 and we road tripped across the North and South Island. We put 5600 miles on our rental car and walked about 30 miles to see as much as we could.

Here is where we went on the North Island:
Lake Okataina, Rotorua, Lake taupo, Tongariro alpine crossing, Waitomo, Auckland, Coromandel peninsula, Waipu, Wellington
South Island: Marlborough sound, Nelson, Pelorous River, Cape Foulwind, Greymouth, Franz Josef glacier, Haast, Lake Wanaka, Te Anau, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Lake Matheson, Lake Tekapo, Lake Pukaki, Mount Cook, Kaikoura, Christchurch
