Striking Lessons - BRISA (en)

They arrived for their first driving lesson, and left with a lifelong meaning.

In 2015, the Portuguese roads registered 464 deaths. Then, in New Year’s Eve, the tally went back to zero.
But it took only the first twenty four hours of 2016 for the number to hike up to seven. Most of he victims are young drivers, due to risk behaviours just as driving under the influence of alcohol, sleep deprivation, or texting while driving.
Striking Lessons is born within this context as a project designed to meet the drivers of the future – even before they become drivers.
A different and memorable first driving lesson, counting with the support of car crash survivors Sara, Pedro, João and Bruno, that exposes the youngsters to the real, many times fatal and most times avoidable effects of dangerous driving.
